School Studies


This is my second Bargue drawing! The index finger was unfinished when I took this photo, which is great because you can really see the difference between a basic outline and a fully rendered finish.


This life-drawing is several weeks in. 
Next time I'll take detailed step-by-step photos to show you how everything comes together. 
The construct was transferred onto Fabriano FA5 paper and this was done in charcoal.


Now you can see the progression. 
The waist is finished, and I've worked on the arm, the breast, and the upper legs.
Wednesday is my last life-drawing class with this pose. I won't finish the drawing completely, but it's not about finishing. It's about learning how to master each step to perfection.
