What's in Chantelle's pocket?

I have a special visitor here this weekend.
Her name is Chantelle.
She is from the magical land of chocolate and cheese.
She paints.

This is a photo of her painting in the mountains in Bergun, Switzerland.
Click here to view her blog and more of her work.

Yesterday I peeked inside her purse and saw interesting things. And out of all the things in her purse, I have chosen the most interesting to share with you:

1. an umbrella
2. a viking coin, and coins from 4 different countries
3. 2 spools of thread, green and brown respectively
4. measuring tape and a leveler
5. an absinthe spoon

Ok, so I think Chantelle wins so far. Will I ever find anyone who has more random and wondrous things on their person?

Creepy Masked Children

Children are creepy.
They are small, and sneaky, and laugh diabolically.
(well, not really)
But THESE children really freak me out:

Happy VINTAGE Halloween!

Halloween is one of my favorite times of year!!!
I wish that it came more than once. Why can't we dress up and run amok on other days of the year?
It's not fair. And it gets so cold in October!
Here's some fun vintage Halloween goodness. The first thing I'm posting is
"The Skeleton Dance" by Walt Disney Studios released in 1929.
The skeletons start to dance at 1:30 in the Youtube clip below:

Halloween Costumes

I've been busy, like a bee, and I haven't fully prepped my California pics.
But here are some Halloween costumes that I think are pretty neat:

You could be a JELLYFISH! (this is pretty easy to make)

Or a ROBOT FROM OUTER SPACE!!!!

Or a BOOK-WORM!!

Or you could be an APPLE WITH A WORM!!

Or a GINGERBREAD MAN!!

Or you could be a GARDEN GNOME!

PAC-MAN and GHOST!!

I have no idea how this guy rides a bicycle in that costume.

ARMY MEN!! Cool idea!!

E.T.  :)

And this one is CRAZY complicated, but really awesome.
And I HAD TO include this neat video of "Glow Stick Figure" costumes. I love the hat and the briefcase!

That's all for now! I have to run away to school!

Disclaimer:
All of these images were found online over years of searching for costume ideas.
None of them are owned by me.
Some of them are from coolest-handmade-costumes.com
I just don't have time to search for each individual picture at the moment.
If you see a pic and know where it is from, message me at info@andymcparrot.com

Howdy Howdy Howdy!

Hello there! I am back from California!
The trip was totally wonderful and I have a TON of stories and photos.
I can't wait to share them, bit by bit.

School is going really well, and my small studio is full of books and projects and inspiring photos!
Photos to come!

And I'm starting to collaborate on more photo shoots!
Again, photos to come!

Where to start? Where to start?

Salut! Salut! Salut!
