Har Har Har

Everything is making me laugh today.

My cheesy jokes are making me laugh.

The word "BUTTON" is making me laugh.
butt-ton. butt-ton.

Wishing my friend "Happy Birthday" in Korean makes me laugh (and smile).

 SAENGIL CHUKHA HAMNIDA!

That angry actor from Cliffhanger makes me laugh.

The wrestler on TV dressed in some goofy gold mask makes me laugh.

Like, really?????

Anyhow, here is some bacterial goodness.

The TV follows Tadayasu Sawaki, a first-year college student at an agricultural university,
who has a unique ability to see and communicate with bacteria and other micro-organisms.

I think I know why I'm in such a funny mood.
It's because my friend Robin had some weird stuff in her purse today.

1.  a box of ginger
2.  a beaded rhinoceros
3.  a poem by Rumi
4.  a postcard from Costa Rica
(and the best)
5. two bundles of shoelaces

The giant bunches of shoelaces made me laugh so hard.
Randomness makes me SO happy.

What's in Chantelle's pocket?

I have a special visitor here this weekend.
Her name is Chantelle.
She is from the magical land of chocolate and cheese.
She paints.

This is a photo of her painting in the mountains in Bergun, Switzerland.
Click here to view her blog and more of her work.

Yesterday I peeked inside her purse and saw interesting things. And out of all the things in her purse, I have chosen the most interesting to share with you:

1. an umbrella
2. a viking coin, and coins from 4 different countries
3. 2 spools of thread, green and brown respectively
4. measuring tape and a leveler
5. an absinthe spoon

Ok, so I think Chantelle wins so far. Will I ever find anyone who has more random and wondrous things on their person?

What's in Vasko's pocket?

It turns out that Vasko has some pretty normal things in his pockets.

1. wallet
2. a peanut butter and jam sandwich with one bite out of it
3. a ring of many normal keys and one unusual pirate key!
4. change
5. a hole for change to fall out of

So, pretty normal I'd say. But there is a little bit of pocket history that makes up for it: Vasko used to be completely "anti-pocket" which means that he would never carry anything in his actual pockets, and instead keep things in his socks. Then, in the mid-90's, cargo pants with pockets on the sides came out and it REVOLUTIONIZED his world!!!

What's in Your Pocket?

Hey, hey, no dirty jokes! I don't wanna hear anything about pocket pool, or bananas in pockets, unless you really do have a banana in your pocket, and I mean the fruit kind.

At IdeaCity I asked my friend Yousry what he had in his pocket. Instead of magical treasures (such as I have) he had normal type things, which I will list below. Because they were so normal I have decided to make two lists of pocket items: one for reality and one for imaginary. Reality vs. Imaginary!!

1. George Castanza Oversize Wallet / Wombat (I'm in a silly mood today!)

2. Lemon Raspberry Halls / Sweet Melting Jewels

3. Blackberry / Old School Walkie Talkie

4. Coins / Magic Wishing Change for the Fountain

5. Nothing / Room for Treasure!!
