Cabin Fever

Dreaming of Heat.
I can't wait to get outside without winter boots and heavy clothes.
This post, a departure from the illuminated grey in the sky.

Calligraffiti

"Niels Meulman is an internationally known artist, designer, and art director. Meulman began tagging in 1979 and became a graffiti legend by the time he was 18. Known as ‘Shoe’ within the graffiti community, his work evolved into a business for lettering..."

"Meulman revolutionized the art of writing with Calligraffiti, an art form that fuses calligraphy and graffiti. He launched this movement in 2007 with a successful solo exhibition in Amsterdam..."

The Alley

Sometimes, when I am wandering around this world, I find places that feel like they've come from my mind.
One time, it happened when I was in Washington D.C. in a store called Anthropologie
(back then they only had it in the U.S.)

It was awesome. Much of my awe was attributed to extreme fatigue
but MOST of it was because everything was so inspiring.
I loved the dinnerware, the embroidered tea towels, the innovative ways of displaying the merchandise.  Everything looked unique and colourful, and handmade.

I honestly felt like I was walking around in my own brain.

Now my brain looks different. As with all of us, we grow and change and so do our interior landscapes.

When I was in Chicago, I went to a place called The Alley
I was immediately transported into one of my friend's minds. His name is Bill. He is excellent.
Sometimes I wish my name was Ted.

He's kind of Keanu Reeves-ish... And I used to be blonde! So it works... So there.
While roaming in The Alley, I found this neat Lagoon Toon belt buckle:

And here are pics from the back alley walls:

And I leave this post with some graffiti.
This stencil was made by Mephisto Jones from Wellington New Zealand.
